WEDDINGS AT FAIRMONT PACIFIC RIM
I can’t believe my wedding is only 5 months away! There’s still so much I still need to do but luckily I got some really great ideas after my trip to Vancouver with Fairmont Hotels to celebrate the launch of Weddings at Fairmont Pacific Rim. I can totally see why locals and tourists love the hotel and couples can now customize their own celebration at Fairmont Pacific Rim.
From the moment I stepped into the lobby I was greeted by the friendly staff and noticed the beautifully decorated floral arrangements. This started giving me ideas for my own wedding. Not only did the decoration surprise me but the scent used in the hotel is so refreshing, I wish my home smelled like this!
If you’re looking to plan your special day here’s all the reasons why you should consider planning your special day at Fairmont Pacific Rim.
VENUE
The property is conveniently located in downtown Vancouver, steps away from shops, restaurants and has stunning views of Vancouver’s harbour and the North Shore Mountains. They have a dedicated wedding manager and team to assist with anything you need for your big day. The hotel has multiple rooms that cater to your needs: Star Sapphire Ballroom for up to 420 guests with views overlooking the harbour; the Emerald Ballroom also overlooks Vancouver’s harbour and has views of the North Shore Mountains and city, with seats up to 150 guests; and the Chairman’s Suite Terrace, this room has a private terrace and sits 40 guests for a seated dinner.
CUISINE
During the event, I had the opportunity to sample some of the dishes and every single dish was delicious! They have a catering team to help customize your menu. Below is a sample of images of what I got to experience; Pacific Northwest, Asian Fusion, A Taste of the Middle East and Indian inspired dessert which all came with wine pairing designed by the wine director. The beautiful floral decorations for the event were provided by Tala Florist.
In the lobby, guests can dine or drink at The Lobby Lounge and Raw Bar.Β I had the opportunity to experience the omakase long table sushi experience and it was a great experience! The sushi is fresh and delicious!
The property also has theΒ Botanist Restaurant which offers private dining for a rehearsal dinner, engagement party, cocktail party or any other special event. Botanist has been named one of the best restaurants in Vancouver and it’s worth a visit! The decor and ambiance are chic, relaxed but also sophisticated. Botanist Bar also has an Experiential Cocktail experience with an emphasis on bold and surprising flavors with really fun glassware and presentation.
Guests can enjoy light snacks, coffee and the best matcha buns at Giovane Cafe! Do not leave Vancouver without trying these buns because they’re amazing.
SUITE LIFE
Wedding packages include accommodations in one of the suites, the suites are sophisticated, elegant and overlooks Vancouver harbour and the bathroom has an amazing tub for couples to relax in.
I had the opportunity to experience the Willow Stream Spa during my stay and it was amazing! I had one of the new Biologique Recherche VIP O2 Facial which left my skin feeling very hydrated and refreshed. The spa also offers an outdoor terrace and hot tub.
WEDDING FASHION SHOW
The wedding fashion show showcased a few dresses from a few wedding designers and local boutique shops in Vancouver. I was very excited about the show because I’ll be wearing one of the designer’s dresses, Galia Lahav. A few other designers included Monique Lhuillier, Ines Di Santo, Romona Keveza, Shyamal & Bhumika, Vera Wang and more. The show also had a surprise performance from the Goh Ballet Academy.
