OUR ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS

I can’t believe I’m finally sharing our engagement photos from 2017 in Santorini, Greece! In 2017, Ryan and I went on our big trip to Amalfi Coast and Greece where Ryan had plans to propose in Positano.

So what happened? Before we left for our Europe trip, the ring was not complete and did not arrive on time, so Ryan left home without a ring. I already had an idea he was planning to propose because he suggested planning Amalfi Coast while I planned our trip to Greece (I plan all of our trips). He also made sure I packed a nice white outfit so that also gave it away! We spent 4 nights at Hotel Marincanto where Ryan was planning to propose at the balcony of our hotel which overlooks the town.

Ryan had been in contact with his jeweler and it looked like he was not able to make it to Italy with the ring. So on the last day of our trip on the Amalfi Coast, Ryan got sick and was throwing up so we decided to cancel our dinner reservations that night which also led me to believe he had backed out on proposing. I was also super confused about how he got sick because we ate all the same thing and I was not sick (poor guy was just super stressed).

We then traveled to Greece and continued our trip which was great. On the very last day, Ryan asked me to get ready that morning and I immediately knew he was proposing. He asked me to put on my white dress and took me outside to the pool area of our hotel – Perivolas Hotel (hotel review). I immediately started crying even though I told myself I’m not a cryer. So, girls, you will likely cry too! Ryan even forgot to put the ring on my finger until after when I was like “wait, you didn’t put the ring on my finger!” haha

I told him I thought he was planning to propose in Positano and he let me know that was the original plan. His jeweler ended up receiving the ring during our trip to Greece and hopped on the next plane from San Francisco to hand-deliver the ring to Ryan. His jeweler made it to Santorini on the very last day of our trip! And that’s our story on our proposal. 😍

Poor Ryan, he had the most stressful two weeks in Europe. I loved the way our proposal happened, I was still very much surprised and this is the reason why we decided to get married in Positano at the exact same hotel and balcony where he originally had planned to propose.

Ryan hired Nathan Wyatt (found him on google) to capture our special moment and we explored Santorini that morning to take our engagement photos. I haven’t even shared these on Instagram until now!

Fast forward to September 21, 2019, and we got married in Positano, Italy at the exact hotel and balcony where Ryan originally planned to propose! #TogetherFergEver
