OUR ZOLA SAVE THE DATE DESIGN

Our save the date cards just arrived from Zola and we’re in love with them!

We’ve been engaged for almost two years and only recently confirmed our wedding date and venue! It was a little hectic trying to get our wedding venue due to the holidays and another bride taking our original date due to miscommunication from the hotel. We decided to move our wedding date one week back which I’m very happy with!

CREATING OUR SAVE THE DATE CARDS

Once we had our venue confirmed we were ready to create our save the dates. We started looking on Zola and we really liked the beautiful selection of designs they offered, especially the silver and gold foil options. I always love adding a little sparkle so having gold foil text on our cards was important to me. To make our cards more personal we added the custom photo design and uploaded our own photos.

If you’ve been following my stories on Instagram you may already know that we’ve decided to get married in Positano, Italy! Positano holds a special place in our hearts and we’re so excited to tie the knot on September 21, 2019! More on our story on why we picked Positano in a later blog post. Since our wedding is in Italy, we selected the Tillage landscape design. We went with the Tillage Landscape design because of the boho-chic vibe and that it features flowers that remind me of the Italian Coast.

Creating the design is super easy.

The design comes in four different color variations, so we were able to preview the different colors of flowers before deciding. In fact, the preview and draft feature was great because we could save different options to review and go back and work on it at a later time. Such a helpful feature for us. All we had to do next was upload our own photo and edit the text on the front and back of the card. Because Zola also provides free wedding websites, we decided to create one to provide all the details for our guest in one location that matched our save the dates. We love how cohesive everything looks together.

When it comes to wedding guests, Zola can also make your life super easy because you can upload your guest list and have Zola address your envelopes for free. Since we still haven’t gotten our guest list figured out yet we decided that we will address the envelopes ourselves when we’re ready.  Once we decided on the envelope detail we were done. The process of creating the cards was probably 5-10 minutes! It was super easy and really fun to do together. Once we finalized our order we waited about a week for our cards to arrive.

When they came in the mail, I was so excited to open the box!

The cards are so beautiful and the cards are of high quality. Now I just need to figure out my guest list and actually send our save the dates! Our venue only holds a maximum of 55 people so we plan to have a small and intimate wedding but it’s been really hard trying to keep the guest list so small! I’m afraid to ask too many people and have to dis-invite guests last minute! If you have any tips please let me know!

So what’s next?

I just went dress shopping this past weekend and I’m pretty sure I found the dress. Before I make any decisions I have a few more appointments this Saturday. My wedding planner is based in Italy. She’s been helping me research a lot of vendors, photographers, and videographers in that area. I’m excited to start going through the recommendations she provided me but I’m also open to any suggestions you have.

If you’re a bride to be, definitely take a look and order your save the date or wedding invitations at Zola! For 30% off use promo code: PAPER30 (30% off of your online paper order).
