WHERE TO STAY IN NEW YORK: INSTAGRAM-WORTHY HOTELS

New York has some of the best hotels in the world and most of them are pretty Insta-worthy! If you’re planning a visit to New York or even looking into a staycation in the city, here is my guide on where to stay in New York, and very Instagram-worthy!

CENTRAL PARK HOTELS

MANDARIN ORIENTAL

If you’re looking for hotels near Central Park this is the best hotel! Mandarin Oriental is a 5-star luxury hotel that offers the best views of Central Park & Columbus Circle.

I stayed in the Premier Central Park Suite! The room is stunning with a large living room area and two bathrooms. I also had the opportunity to tour the Oriental Suite which has an amazing bathroom and views of Central Park! It’s definitely a splurge if you’re looking for luxury.

PARK HYATT

Park Hyatt is a block from Central Park so it does not have direct views of the park unless your room is one of the top floors. I had the opportunity to experience The Bryte Suite for our mini staycation/babymoon in the city and we loved it. The Bryte Suite offers relaxation with the Bryte bed which can be customized by temperature.

THE PLAZA

The Plaza Hotel is an iconic hotel. If you’ve seen the Home Alone movies which I’m sure everyone has! This is the hotel from the movie. Located just across Central Park and has a beautiful lobby for afternoon tea.

1 HOTEL CENTRAL PARK

1 Hotel Central Park is super cute, has smaller rooms, and is a little cheaper than other hotels located across from the park. 1 Hotel is also dog friendly.

THE WHITBY HOTEL

The Whitby Hotel is located just a few blocks from Central Park and has stunning rooms. I’ve stayed at the hotel a few years ago and I absolutely loved the decor and the beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel has 86 rooms and the suites are gorgeous! Some with an outdoor terrace.

MIDTOWN/TIMES SQUARE

Times Square Edition & New York Edition are great hotel options. Both are fairly new in New York and are both in great locations. Times Square Edition is right in Times Square while New York Edition is located right across from Madison Square Park.

EQUINOX

The first Equinox Hotel is located at the Hudson Yards in New York City. The 5-star luxury hotel offers guests a digital experience with limited interaction through mobile key, texting, and check-out. Their goals are to create an environment that maximizes your potential. Don’t forget to visit their pool that offers a stunning view of The Vessel!

THE LANGHAM

Located on 5th avenue, The Langham Hotel is reasonably priced for a luxury hotel and in a great location! The hotel bathrooms have amazing views and are located right next to Bryant Park. I stayed in the Deluxe City View Room on the 26th floor.

THE ROYALTON PARK AVENUE

The Royalton Park Avenue is a budget-friendly hotel located in Flatiron with a rooftop pool and views of the Empire State Building. It’s definitely Instagrammable!

ARLO NOMAD & MIDTOWN

Arlo Hotel is a boutique hotel located in Soho, Nomad, and Midtown. Their efficient and beautifully designed rooms are created to serve travelers of all kinds. The rooms are fairly small but they’re great budget-friendly hotels and centrally located. I haven’t stayed here but Arlo Nomad is on my to-do list for the iconic Sky View Rooms and the rooftop of midtown. Arlo Midtown is the newest location and also has a rooftop.

MEATPACKING/CHELSEA

THE STANDARD HIGH LINE

I have not stayed in any of the hotels in Meatpacking but if you prefer to party and love this area, The Standard High Line is one of the top-rated hotels in the area. It has an amazing rooftop with views overlooking the city and it’s definitely a hotel where all the cool kids go!

GANSEVOORT MEATPACKING

Gansevoort is another popular hotel with a gorgeous rooftop. It’s also a hotel where everyone goes for drinks and parties.

THE HIGHLINE HOTEL

The Highline Hotel always has the cutest decor outside and the garden has a London-themed bus where guests and visitors can grab coffee!

SOHO

THE DOMINICK HOTEL

I love the Dominick Hotel! This hotel is located in Tribeca/Soho which is not as convenient in my opinion but I love the property. It’s a luxury hotel with amazing rooms/suites and offers gorgeous views of the city.

NOMO SOHO

Nomo Soho is one of the popular hotels in Soho. It has a super cute entrance where everyone loves taking photos and a super cute restaurant worth visiting named Nomo Kitchen with beautiful chandeliers. I suggest requesting a room with a view as rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows. During the summer, the rooftop is also open and has some of the most amazing views!

ARLO SOHO

I haven’t stayed at Arlo Soho but it’s a great budget-friendly option in Soho. This location always has the cutest set up in the garden area each season and I love visiting for photos.

CROSBY STREET HOTEL

The Crosby Street Hotel is a luxury hotel located on a cute cobblestone street in SoHo. The design is stunning, with floor-to-ceiling windows, and the suites are beautiful and unique. It’s also a Firmdale hotel like The Whitby Hotel in Midtown.

EAST VILLAGE

THE LUDLOW HOTEL

Located on the lower east side, The Ludlow allows travelers to experience many restaurants, bars, shops, and venues like a true local. It’s in a great location on the Lower East Side and has the most Instagrammable bathrooms! I suggest booking the Studio Mini or the Loft Queen for rooms with a bathtub! I believe the Loft Queen is the one with a mini balcony too!

PUBLIC HOTEL

The Public Hotel is in the Lower East Side and is so chic! I’ve always wanted to stay here, it looks amazing with great views and the rooftop is awesome.

THE BOWERY HOTEL

The Bowery Hotel is in the East Village, I love the authentic old style of the property but still very luxurious. The hotel has a few bathrooms with amazing bathtubs with views of the city!

DOWNTOWN

THE BEEKMAN HOTEL

The iconic Beekman Hotel has been voted as one of The Best Hotels in the World and in New York City! It’s super iconic and a 19th-century landmark. The hotel itself is stunning with great opportunities for photos and has an amazing rooftop restaurant named Temple Court by Top Chef Tom Colicchio. The food is amazing and it has a wisteria garden which is absolutely gorgeous.

MR C SEAPORT

If you prefer staying downtown near Seaport, Mr. C Seaport is a great option. The rooms are very spacious, the suites have terraces with views of the Brooklyn Bridge.

BROOKLYN

1 HOTEL BROOKLYN BRIDGE

1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge is absolutely one of the best hotels in Brooklyn! Located right at Brooklyn Bridge Park, it has the most amazing views and a stunning rooftop and pool. I would recommend the Skyline 1 Bedroom Suite with views directly of the Manhattan Skyline.

THE WILLIAMSBURG HOTEL

Located in the heart of Brooklyn, The Williamsburg Hotel is minutes away from the city and local hotspots. Each room is designed with custom furnishing, classic bathrooms, and floor-to-ceiling windows. I absolutely loved staying here, I stayed in the Premier Skyline Suite and the bathroom tub is absolutely worth it! The hotel also has a rooftop pool, and it’s heated!

THE WILLIAM VALE

The William Vale is also located in Williamsburg and has a gorgeous rooftop named Westlight which is great to visit for drinks or ice skating during winter. I believe all rooms have a balcony but I suggest a wraparound balcony room. The hotel also has a gorgeous outdoor pool!

I hope this blog post helps you plan your next trip to New York or even a staycation! I’ll love to know where you’ve stayed and also recommend it in the comments.
