ONE BEDROOM NEW YORK APARTMENT

Hi guys! If you’ve been following me on Instagram you may already have seen my one-bedroom New York Apartment tour, I decided to write a blog post in case you’re looking for any specific links to products. You may also know that I had moved back to New York two years ago from San Francisco. When I first lived in New York I lived in midtown and always enjoyed the convenience of the area. When Ryan and I had plans to move back to the city we already knew where we wanted to live and did our own research on one-bedroom New York apartments.

A month prior to moving we flew to New York to look at apartments. We had a few appointments and also walked around the area looking at leasing signs with availabilities. We ended up walking by one sign with construction and it looked like this building was almost ready to open. We called the number and they had availability for us to see the units the next day. I absolutely fell in love with this building even though it was not completed! Our unit we looked at was still in construction but it would be completed by the time we moved in.

We signed the lease the same week and got approved. We’re the first tenants in our unit and one of the first in the building as well. Our one-bedroom New York apartment is a corner unit with North and East facing views. It has one bathroom, washer/dryer in unit, and has floor to ceiling windows which is one of the reasons why we picked this apartment. We get a lot of natural light. We building is a doorman building with a pool, gym, rooftop, and storage unit.

A lot of our furniture is from our old apartment but I’ve recently started decorating over the last two years. My home decoration style is very modern but also boho.
