MOST INSTAGRAMMABLE SPOTS IN CAPPADOCIA
Cappadocia has been on my top bucket list for years. I’ve always dreamed of going on a hot air balloon ride over the cone-shaped rock formations and my dream officially came true! I visited Cappadocia for the first time in late April and it was just as I had imagined it to be. Cappadocia consists of many small towns that are close together, making it super easy to explore. I visited Goreme, Uchisar, and Avanos. If you know me, I’m all about finding the best spots to shoot, and lucky for you I’ve found multiple gems worth sharing. Below is a list of the most Instagrammable spots in Cappadocia.
1. HOT AIR BALLOON
A hot air balloon ride is a must when in Cappadocia. I flew with Turkyie Balloons and had an amazing experience.
2. HIRE A PHOTOGRAPHER
I highly recommend hiring a photographer for a morning to chase the hot air balloons. The photographer will take you to the best spots for photos. I hired @suleymanikman and he was amazing. He has different packages, I did 4 locations which included a few hot air balloon locations, running horses, and a cave. The package I selected cost 350 euros and I added a vintage car and the running horses as an additional fee along with renting a dress.
3. GOREME
Goreme is the main town of Cappadocia. There are plenty of beautiful cave hotels, restaurants, shops, and fairy chimneys to photograph with.
4. PASABAG
Pasabag is located on the road to Zelve, coming from Goreme or Avanos. It has some of the most unique fairy chimneys and viewpoints. This spot can get super crowded. I highly recommend visiting closer to closing hours when all of the tourist buses are no longer around.
5. GALERIE IKMAN
Galerie Ikman is located in the center of town in Goreme and is the most beautiful rug shop I’ve ever seen! Before taking photos please ask the shop owners for permission and always tip or help their business by buying their product.
6. OPEN AIR MUSEUM
The Open Air Museum is a UNESCO World Heritage and is worth a visit. Tickets are 20 euros. I recommend visiting early morning before the large crowds.
7. LOCAL CAVE HOUSE
The Local Cave House Hotel has one of the best pool views in Cappadocia. With the fairy chimneys as the backdrop from the pool, nothing beats that view on a hot day. If you plan on shooting here please message the hotel to ask if you’re allowed to visit for a few photos.
8. UCHISAR
Uchisar is a town less than 10 minutes from Goreme by car. My friend and I found this viewpoint from @tiebowtie which is by Argos Hotel in Uchisar. If you’re looking for inspiration in Turkey you should definitely follow her!
9. UCHISAR CASTLE
Uchisar Castle is a tourist attraction so definitely go early. There are a lot of souvenir shops and pretty evil eye trees for photos.
10. HOTEL ROOFTOPS
Cappadocia is known for having cave hotels with ultimate rooftops with a view. If you’re able to get a room at Sultan Cave House then you’re lucky! It’s one of the best hotels with a rooftop for the early morning balloon views. Unfortunately, when I was there the balloons were canceled and I did not get to experience seeing them rise from the rooftop. I still had a great view and loved the images. There are so many amazing cave hotels that I’ve written a blog post on Best Cappadocia Cave Hotels with a view.
11. MUSEUM HOTEL
I stayed a few days at the Museum Hotel and it was stunning. They have one of the prettiest pools and multiple spots that are Instagrammable.
12. PLATE SHOP IN AVANOS
My friend @bucketlistbums found this post on Instagram and we knew we had to find it. The shop is located by the bridge when entering into Avanos, you won’t miss it. It’s such a cute shop and a great spot to shop for souvenirs.
Cappadocia is truly a dream come true and you will fall in love with it as much as I did once you visit. I’m already thinking of my next trip back because there’s just so much to explore and experience! Good luck finding all these amazing Instagrammable spots in Cappadocia!

Hi Dear!
Any details of how to find this wonderful view point in Uchisar? I would appreciate it – I’m going there in May, already booked a room in Sultan Cave Suites 🙂
Love your pictures!!!

I’m so sorry but I can’t remember exactly! It was near a hotel but if you showed the images to a local they should know!
