BEST OUTDOOR DINING IN NEW YORK

New York currently allows for restaurants to have outdoor dining and it’s by far my favorite thing this summer! All the outdoor dining in New York reminds me of Europe especially around West Village and Greenwich with really cute decor, ambiance, and some restaurants are going all out with floral decorations. Most of these restaurants also are open with heating for the winter too!

You all know how much I love trying new restaurants so I’ve included a list of the best outdoor dining in New York City with insta-worthy options like dining with a view, delicious food, rooftops, floral installations, and a few restaurants I’m waiting to open!

*I highly recommend making reservations on their website or calling the restaurant

OUTDOOR DINING GARDEN

SCARPETTA

I’ve always been a fan of Scarpetta and during the summer they’re offering an Aperitivo series with special cocktails including a refreshing Frosé! The ambiance is quite romantic with a pink flower arch, pink umbrellas, and string lights. What to order: tuna susci with preserved truffle, Nero tagliatelle, or spaghetti. The Budino blew my mind for dessert! Address: 88 Madison Ave.

KYMA RESTAURANT

Kyma Restaurant serves awesome Greek food and has the cutest outdoor dining with stunning florals and fairy lights. It’s located in Nomad on 18th street and at night they do have loud music so if you’re looking for something quieter this is probably not the place to go. What to order: calamari, lobster pasta, and Greek fries. Address: 15 W 18th St.

MAREA

Marea is a Michelin Star Restaurant so you know it will be good but also pricey. It’s a great option for a special celebration and it currently has the prettiest blue flower tunnel located across the street from Central Park. What to order: fusilli pasta. Address: 240 Central Park S.

MAMAN

If you love cute coffee shops and floral decorations then I recommend visiting Maman in Nomad or Soho (has an outdoor garden). Maman has multiple locations around New York with stunning floral decorations and offers amazing coffee, salads, and sandwiches. What to order: smash avocado tartine.

OSTERIA LA BAIA

Osteria La Baia is pretty new in 2021. There is not much outdoor dining but they do have a few tables outside that is covered. The Italian restaurant is super cute, the food was amazing and the floral decor and car outside the restaurant are super cute!

A PASTA BAR AKA SOLA PASTA BAR

A Pasta Bar has an amazing 5-course pasta tasting for $95 for 2 people. The portion is small so I recommend getting two appetizers. If you love pasta, this place has amazing pasta and feels very authentic. The restaurant is from a Michelin Star chef and if you can reserve the outdoor cabins it’s super insta-worthy and keeps you warm during colder months.

LAFAYETTE

Lafayette is a super cute cafe, great for brunch, and during the winter months, they have the cutest winter chalets with a pre-fixe menu.
