4 DAY ITINERARY IN MALLORCA, SPAIN
When visiting Spain I was unsureΒ if I wanted to visit IbizaΒ or Mallorca. I only had enough time to visit one island, either Ibiza to party on the beach or enjoyΒ relaxingΒ and quiet beach vacation. I decided on the relaxing and quiet beach vacation. I had the best time in Mallorca and it was perfect to getΒ away from the city for a few days. I’m so happy to share myΒ 4 day itinerary in Mallorca, Spain.
Day 1 – Palma (2 nights)
Land in Palma de Mallorca airport
Where I stayed:Β Hotel AlmudainaΒ very central and inΒ the center of Palma. The hotel is updated and very clean.
I made sure to book an early flight from Madrid to Mallorca so I could make the best use of my time. I spent two nights in Palma, a resort townΒ and also theΒ largest city in theΒ Balearic Islands.
Mallorca Cathedral – The cathedralΒ is a Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral in central Palma. Right around the corner from our hotel so we walked around this are to explore.
Nassau Beach ClubΒ if you’re interested inΒ a beach party. My boyfriend and I took a cab from the cathedral to Nassau Beach Club to enjoy the services by ordering drinks and laying out on theΒ tanning beds.
Es Baluard is a restaurant located at Es Baluard museum of modern and contemporary art. We decided to have dinner here since it has outdoor seating and beautiful views. We got here after sunset so we did not get to enjoy the views, I highly recommend having an early dinner to watch the sunset. Address: Plaça de la Porta de Santa Catalina, 10, 07012 Palma
Day 2 – Soller
I started my day with McDonald’s breakfast and let me tell you it was surprisingly delicious! I actually like trying McDonald’s in different countries since their menus are all different. They have the best macarons at McDonald’s too!
Day Trip to Soller – I recommend taking a day trip to Soller!Β The vintage train provides a unique experience and provides scenic views of the island. The total trip from Palma to SollerΒ is roughly an hour and a half. Halfway through the train ride our train broke down! However, I ended up using this time to explore and take photos!
13% restaurant – It’s a small restaurant so I suggest making reservations. We did not have any but got lucky and was seated by the bar.Β The restaurant offers a family style tasting menu which wasΒ really affordable. One thing I love about Spain is how cheap it is especially when it comes to wine. Address:Β Calle Sant Feliu, 13,Β 07012 Palma
Day 3 – Colonia de Sant Jordi (two nights)
Where I stayed:Β Universal Hotel RomanticaΒ is a budget hotel and about a 10 minute walk to Es Trenc.
I wanted to visit the best beach in Mallorca, known as Es Trenc. When I was doing my research i found so many beautiful photos of this beach! The clear blue waters won me over and knew I had to go. The closest town to the beach is Colonia de Sant Jordi, an hour from Palma. It is ideal to have a rental but we were able to get a shuttle from Palma to Colonia de Sant Jordi.
Es Trenc Beach – Once we arrived we went straight to the beach! The beach is over 6 miles long and the water is so clear and warm. My boyfriend and I stayed there all day.
Day 4 – Day Trip to Cuevas del Drach in Porto Cristo
Cuevas del Drach – During my research of things to do in Mallorca I stumbled upon Cuevas del Drach, also known asΒ The Caves of Drach. It has four caves connected to each other, The Black Cave, White Cave, Cave of Luis Salvador, and Cave of the French. There is an underground lake situated in the caves called Martel Lake. At the end of the tour there’s a very tranquil classical music rendition that is played by an orchestra and theyΒ also take you on aΒ boat ride at the end of the tour. This is a must visit when in Mallorca! Porto Cristo is not easy to get to from Colonia de Sant Jordi. It’s an hour away and I suggest renting a car but if you do not have one then a cab is another option.
Porto Cristo – 5 minutes from the caves is the town of Porto Cristo. Spend time walking around and have lunch before heading back.
We ended our day early and since we had time we decided to spend the evening back on the beach to watch the sunset. It ended up being one of the most romantic sunsets ever!

I had plans to visit Soller when I went to Mallorca last spring break. I’m so sad I didn’t get to go! I did get to go to the caves, though, which was an unbelievable experience!

Mallorca looks amazing! I’ve always wanted to go here ever since my friend told me about it years ago. She used to visit every summer! I would have chosen it over Ibiza too. I hate crowds!
Cheers

Hi Christine,
Thanks for the post. My husband and I are planning to spend a few days in Mallorca for our honeymoon after attending a wedding in Ballycastle, Ireland. Anything you’d highly recommend/skip? We were actually looking at staying in Soller as our jumping off point. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

I loved Soller and think it’s a must! It can be a great starting point. I definitely recommend Cuevas del Drach if you have time and have a car!
