WOMEN’S JOURNEY THAILAND

I recently had the opportunity to visit Thailand for the fourth time! Thailand holds a special place in my heart because of the amazing people, culture, food, and all around experiences in health and wellness. I spent a week exploring Chiang Mai, Pai, and Bangkok on an epic Women’s Journey Thailand with the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

CHIANG MAI

We started our trip in Chiang Mai where we were hosted by The Dhara Dhevi hotel. The property is one of the most stunning properties I’ve stayed in, from the moment I arrived I immediately felt like I was arriving at my very own palace. The details of the buildings are stunning, I could have easily spent a week alone at this property! Dhara Dhevi also has the most stunning pool ever! We stayed in The Royal Residence villas which contains six private Lanna-style pavilions.

  • Explore Nimman Road

PAI

Pai is a cute town situated in a valley, surrounded by beautiful mountains and takes 3 hours from Chiang Mai by car. If you easily get car sick, be prepared because there are 762 curves to Pai! Take Dramamine 30 minutes before the drive and you’ll be fine. Our group checked into the Reverie Siam Resort for two nights. The resort is super cute, rustic and has an old charm to it from the decoration which I loved!

BANGKOK

Bangkok is one of the best cities ever! Even though the traffic isn’t the best but just hop on a tuk-tuk or hitch a ride on one of the river boats to get you to your destination sooner.  Our group checked into The Peninsula Bangkok for three days and I was quite impressed! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by multiple staffs waiting for us and had the honor of checking us into our rooms individually. The Peninsula loves personalizing our experience and provided us with personalized pillowcases to bring home along with our own personalized apron after one of our cooking class. I can’t forget about all the treats they gave us in our room daily either, especially the coconuts since it’s my favorite! The best part is the hotel is right on the river and has its own boat for guest transportation.

While in Bangkok our group attended The Women’s Journey Welcome Reception Dinner at Nai Lert Park. The theme was a tropical garden and it was decorated beautifully. The dinner is in celebration of women traveler’s around the world. We were all invited to experience the beautiful country of Thailand. Dinner was delicious as it was prepared by a local Michelin Star chef and throughout the night there were performances we all enjoyed watching.

Thank you, Tourism Authority of Thailand for inviting me to such a special event and showing me the beauty of Thailand through amazing dining experiences and health & wellness. Thailand is a great place for women travelers and even solo travelers. I cannot wait to be back and explore the old and new parts of Thailand.
