SOFITEL LISBON LUXURY HOTEL REVIEW

I recently visited Lisbon on a solo trip and stayed at the Hotel Sofitel Liberdade in Lisbon, a 5 star luxury hotel located on Av. da Liberdade. The location is central and located on one of the main streets with many luxury shops. The metro stop is also right in front of the hotel which is very convenient. I rarely used the metro since most areas are walking distance. Bairro Alto is one of the main areas for bars and restaurants and only 15 minutes by foot.

Service

Guests can expect top notch service, from friendly staff who caters to your every need. The staff was very welcoming the moment I arrived and even welcomed me with coffee and the famous Portuguese tarts while I waited for my room to become available.

The Room

The hotel offers 163 rooms including 12 suites. The hotel and rooms are modern, yet sophisticated and has a red and gold accent theme. I had a room with a view of the main street which I really enjoyed! The room is spacious, clean and has the most comfortable king size bed I have ever slept in! I really felt like a queen and probably could have slept for days! I was also greeted with red wine and fresh pastries made by the chef! This was amazing and made for an amazing late night snack.

Tip: Ask for a room with a view of Av. da Liberdade street

The Facilities

Guests can enjoy a 24 hour fitness center, library, bar, free WiFi throughout and meeting rooms with catered pastries!

Breakfast

Breakfast each day was buffet style. With options of dozens of pastries, sausages, eggs any style, cereal, yogurt, fruit and so much more!

Dining

Adlib is a French Restaurant located at the hotel. I wish I had time to try it!

I had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Sofitel! The staff was amazing and the manager who gave me a tour was so friendly! I enjoyed the service, amenities, the food and convenience of the hotel. I’m definitely returning the next time I’m back in Lisbon!

The hotel is beautiful and very contemporary. The tip about the room view is good to know. What is a Portuguese tart?
