When I first started seeing photos of Malibu Wine Safari I was intrigued.. Wine + Safari + Feeding Animals?? Don’t have to ask me twice I’m all for it! Malibu Wine Safari will take you on an adventure around a 1,000 acre vineyard and ranch in Malibu on a safari truck. It is open 7 days a week and has multiple tour options.
For our very first stop of the tour we had a celebrity sighting with Stanley the giraffe!! It’s pretty impossible not to fall in love with him. Isn’t he just adorable? The tour guides then provided us with carrots to feed him. His long tongue licked my hand while aiming for the carrot and it was so sweet! Stanley is quite famous as he was featured in the movie “The Hangover 3”. No tour is complete without visiting Stanley! I believe he is only available on weekday tours from now on.
For our next stop we had one of the best views of the vineyards and had 3 tastings of white wine. I loved all of them!
For the next stop we had an opportunity to feed more animals! The zebras at first looked so cute but once you have a carrot in your hands they will scare you with those teeth! Be careful while feeding the zebras! The llamas and alpacas were very cute and so was Fabio the horse. He has such long beautiful slick hair! Maybe even nicer then mine… There were also some bulls laying around the ranch. The ranch also trains horses and allows customers to bring their own horses to ride around the ranch.
On our last stop of the tour we were at the executive offices and this had panoramic views of the property. We were offered four tastings of red wine with chocolate, cheese and cracker pairings. We were all very impressed!! My favorite was the Merlot but all were very good. One type of chocolate stood out which was the white chocolate and blueberries.. Sadly, they were not for sale.
Each party took a photo and decorated their own wine bottle to take home. I loved this idea and it was a great souvenir!
THANK YOU Malibu Wine Safari for making dreams come true.
