KIWI FOR GMAIL (MAC) REVIEW
I’ve been a Gmail user for quite some time and it’s one of the best email tools out there. I currently have two accounts, my personal email and one for my blog. Since starting my blog it’s been a little bothersome when I have to sign in and out of accounts especially when I’m trying to get to my google drive (since you can only log into one at a time). I recently learned about Kiwi for Gmail 2.0, a standalone mail program for Mac users!! Don’t worry Windows version is coming out soon!
What is Kiwi for Gmail?
Kiwi for Gmail is Gmail and Google Apps for the desktop and eliminating signing into your browser! I’ve been using Kiwi for Gmail for over a week now and will share with you my experience and why everyone should be using it if they have multiple accounts (it increases my productivity)! My favorite thing so far is the multiple window functionality!
Once I downloaded Kiwi for Gmail an icon popped up in my dock. Once I opened the application it looked exactly like Gmail on the web. So there was not much learning to do, it was super easy to use and figure out.
FEATURES
Drop Down Menu & Do Not Disturb – This feature allows you to see the number of new messages in your inbox and you can easily access an account with one click. Each account is color coded for ease of organization. There’s also an option to turn off notifications or keep them on to receive emails that you have marked as important.
Compose Email in a New Window – I love this feature! I love that I can compose an email in a new window. It allows me to have multiple windows open and drag them around my desktop! This is great use of my time when I need to open an email while referring to another document side by side.
You can open all other Google Apps such as the calendar, google docs/sheets, google drive in a new window with one click.
Send Attachments Easily – Send attachments by choosing a file and drag and drop them into your new email. For anyone who has large files and folders to share, Kiwi for Gmail allows you to send them directly from your computer by right clicking on the file or folder, choose share from the dropdown, select Kiwi for Gmail and select which account you want to use. You don’t have to zip the files and send them through dropbox anymore! Kiwi for Gmail automatically zips the file and sends it. Isn’t this the best thing ever? What a time saver and you never have to worry about how big the file or folder is!
G Suite Functionality – The sidebar gives you easy access to the Google Suite apps. With one click you can access Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. You can now create your docs, spreadsheets and slides as you would normally do in Microsoft Office. You are able to open any G Suite file directly in Kiwi for Gmail in it’s own window just as you would in Microsoft Office. You can even go into the file menu and open recent documents. If you quit the application and restart the application it saves your work. Kiwi for Gmail applies to all other G Suite application such as Google Draw, Forms, etc.
The sidebar gives easy access to open new messages, calendars, Google Drive all in a new window. This window functionality is my favorite feature of Kiwi for Gmail.
Kiwi for Gmail is such a great application! I love that it helps me save time and increases my productivity. I don’t have to log in and out of accounts anymore and I can access everything easily. If you have a business or have multiple gmail accounts, I highly recommend investing in Kiwi for Gmail. It’s worth it!
Download Kiwi for Gmail at the Mac App Store for $14.99. I know you will love this application, let me know what you think!

I would love to separate my personal and work accounts but am worried about losing track. I’d love to see this available for Chromebook (Chrome OS). Is that in the works?!?!
