GREAT WOLF LODGE INDOOR WATER PARK: MASHANTUCKET, CT
Great Wolf Lodge is America’s largest indoor water park resort. There are over 20 locations, and we had the opportunity to visit the newest property, Mashantucket, CT. We visited the first week of October to experience the Howl-o-Ween activities happening for the month. This is my second visit to a Great Wolf Lodge property, and we had so much fun!
We drove from Manhattan; it took us four hours, as we encountered some traffic. The Mashantucket property is located next to Foxwoods Casino, which offers shuttles from the property if you plan to visit the casino. There are plenty of activities to do at all Great Wolf Lodge resorts. They also offer day passes, which is great if you live nearby! Here’s everything you need to know.

GREAT WOLF LODGE MASHANTUCKET, CT ROOMS
The property has over 500 suites, standard, themed, and premium suites. Photos below are from a premium suite with a separate living room space.

HOWL-O-WEEN ACTIVITIES
All Great Wolf Lodge properties have a list of activities, including Halloween activities happening through the end of the month of October.
Trick-Or-Treat Trail, where families can dress up and enjoy activities, and go trick-or-treating.
Nightly Monster Bash Dance Party, where kids can dance away before bedtime and enjoy Halloween songs.
Howl-O-Ween Arts & Crafts for the month.
Howl-O-Ween Mini Events, like Bingo and meet and greets, throughout the day in the hotel lobby.

INDOOR WATER PARK
The 92,000 square foot indoor water park is heated and stays at 84 degrees year-round. There is so much to do, and we easily spent a few hours there. Even though Ryden is a bit young, we still had a lot of fun at the splash areas. The indoor water park includes body slides, tube slides, raft rides, activity pools, and an outdoor pool.

ATTRACTIONS
There are so many fun activities for the whole family. They offer packages that I think are absolutely worth it. Check out the Wolf Pass, Paw Pass, and Pup Pass.
MAGIQUEST – Guests can purchase a wand to play in an interactive adventure game to complete quests and challenges throughout the resort.
TEN PAW ALLEY – Bowling for the whole family. No special shoes are required.
HOWLERS PEAK ROPE COURSE: A rope course with a zipline experience.
HOWL IN ONE MINI GOLF: One of our favorite activities was the miniature golf.
NORTHERN LIGHTS ARCADE: Who does not love an arcade? We spent a lot of time here playing games and trying to win prizes.
OLIVER’S MINING CO: This looked so fun! Sift for gemstones and keep them as souvenirs.
BUILD-A-BEAR WORKSHOP: There’s a Build-A-Bear workshop at every property with special pieces like wolf ears.
THE VIRTUAL FRONTIER: If you love virtual reality games, this is for you.

DINING
There are so many great dining options, and during Howl-o-Ween there are specialty Halloween drinks and food. There is also a candy wall that we enjoyed when we checked out.
Fireside
Timbers Table and Kitchen
Hungry Wolf Food Hall
Dunkin
Woods End Creamery
Fatburger, Buffalo’s Express & Hot Dog on a Stick

We really enjoyed our trip and would love to be back and experience other properties when Ryden is a little older too.
