You’re in luck because I’ve created a list of the best restaurants in San Francisco!
BRUNCH

ALL AROUND BEST RESTAURANTS
Most of these restaurants are great for lunch and dinner. Make sure to make reservations!
Bar Crudo – 655 Divisadero St – Bar Crudo is great for date night and seafood. They even have a great deal for Happy Hour! From 5-6pm you can get $1 oysters, $6 seafood chowder and beer/wine for under $6. What to order: Raw oysters, lobster beet salad and uni avocado toast!
Bellota – 888 Brannan St – I love Bellota!! The vibe is great and makes you feel like you’re in Spain. The night I dined here they had live music and dancers! What to order: Bellota (jamon), pulpo (ocotopus), paella, coqueta and dessert! Everything here looks amazing!
Elephant Sushi – Multiple locations – Casual sushi restaurant but one of the best and freshest fish! What to order: Toro & caviar spoon, hamachi truffle, tofu pocket.
Flour + Water – 2401 Harrison St – If you want awesome pasta and pizza I recommend making reservations here asap. They have a pasta tasting for $75. What to order: Veal ravioli and salami pizza.
Liholiho Yacht Club – 871 Sutter St – One of the popular restaurants in San Francisco is Liholiho Yacht Club. They have amazing Hawaiian/Asian fusion food. They offer specials and off the menu items such as the spam rice bowl. What to order: Tuna poke, Beef tongue poppy seed steam bun, beef ribs.. order everything and the baked Hawaii!
State Bird Provisions – 1529 Fillmore St – Probably one of my top 3 restaurants in San Francisco! I love the Asian fusion tapas style. Also one of the hardest places to get reservations online. Most people line up an hour before they open to get tables. What to order: everything!!
Trace – 181 3rd St – Located at the W Hotel, Trace is a beautiful restaurant. Food was top notch and the presentation was unbelievable! I loved every single dish and had the best salmon ever! What to order: Oysters, Brussel sprouts, shanghai noodles, steak, salmon and of course dessert!
Foreign Cinema – The restaurant has an outdoor seating area that plays movies at night! I love the concept and the food is great. Also great for brunch! What to order: Oysters, Dungeness crab salad and the famous fried chicken!
Hog Island – 1 Ferry Bldg – Located inside the Ferry Building, Hog Island is one of the best places for seafood and fresh oysters. I always go when it opens because there’s always a line! What to order: All the oysters you can eat!
Octavia – 1701 Octavia St – Octavia has delicious food! It’s great for a date night or an intimate dinner. What to order: Deviled eggs and squid ink pasta.
Rich Table – 199 Gough St – Awesome food! The portions are small and great for sharing. So order lots of different dishes! What to order: Spaghetti with lobster, uni toast, sardine chips, and the porcini doughnuts.
Seven Hills – 1550 Hyde St – Come to Seven Hills for delicious pasta. The waiters are very nice and knowledgeable. What to order: Pig tartare, squid ink pasta, ravioli, spaghetti.. order anything it’s going to be amazing!
SPQR – 1911 Fillmore St – Another great option for awesome pasta. What to order: Sea urchin fettuccine, buckwheat tagliatelle, squid ink pasta and add truffles if it’s available!
The Progress – 1525 Fillmore St – The Progress is the sister restaurant to State Bird Provisions so you know it’s going to be good. It’s quite hard to get reservations as well but much easier then State Bird. The menu is family style and $62 for 4 dishes. The menu changes often.
Trestle – Come for the 3-course pre-fixe for $35! Such a great deal right? I loved the food and definitely plan to visit again!
Zuni Cafe – 1658 Market St – Known for the roasted chicken for two that takes up to 45 minutes. Well worth the wait! I’ve also had brunch here and recommend it.
FINE DINING
Benu – 22 Hawthorne St – Ranked as the top restaurant in San Francisco with 3 Michelin Stars. A great dining experience for a special occasion. $285 per person.
Californios – Reservations are only two weeks out and $177 per person for the tasting menu. It currently has two Michelin Stars and it’s worth the splurge!
Gary Danko – 800 N Point St – One of the best deals for a fine dining restaurant! I visited during Valentine’s weekend and the menu price remained the same. They offer 3 Courses for $87, 4 Courses for $106 and 5 Courses for $124.
La Folie – 2316 Polk St – I visited La Folie for our Anniversary dinner and had a great meal! They offer 3-course menu for $100, 4-course menu for $120 and 5-course menu for $140. Order baked Alaska for dessert!

The menu changes daily, the menu is super unique and fun. I came here for Valentine’s dinner and was blown away! The dining is communal style making it feel like you’re at a dinner party so get ready to meet some new friends! They also have the BEST bread and butter I’ve ever tasted.
Nightbird – 330 Gough St – The ambiance inside is very nice and simple. Their menu has a “theme” and the menu is $125 per person.
Sons & Daughters – 708 Bust St – Seasonal tasting menu at $175 a person.
