BEST CAPPADOCIA CAVE HOTELS WITH A VIEW
The ultimate fairytale destination is staying in a cave hotel in Cappadocia with an epic view of the hot air balloons rising at sunrise. There are plenty of cave hotels with great views and I wanted to experience all of them! I was in Cappadocia for a total of 4 nights and stayed at three hotels while visiting a few others in 2018. Witnessing the balloons rise at sunrise on a nice rooftop is one of the most breathtaking experiences ever! You’ll never forget it so here are a few of the Best Cappadocia Cave Hotels with a view.
Most hotels in Cappadocia are small and have limited rooms so be prepared to book in advance during the high season. Rooms typically start at $200.
1. SULTAN CAVE SUITES
The number one rooftop hotel in Cappadocia is Sultan Cave Suites. Images from this rooftop have been going viral for years and I can see why! The rooftop has the perfect view of the balloons rising at sunrise and the hotel sure knows how to set up a breakfast shot! It’s set up every morning for guests to take photos as a prop so don’t worry everyone gets their turn for the photo. If you’re lucky, the famous dog named Izmir may hop up and steal the show. I stayed here for 1 night and loved my experience, the hotel is clean and comfortable, and it has an amazing restaurant Seten Restaurant.
Sultan Cave Suites has a few other sister hotels. If you’re staying at any of them guests also get access to their amenities. Sister properties include Aza Cave Hotel, which has a pool, Kelebek Cave Hotel also has a pool, and Seki Cave Hotel which offers beautiful views in a hot tub (there’s a fee for this experience).
2. AZA CAVE HOTEL
On my most recent trip to Cappadocia in 2024 I stayed at Aza Cave Hotel. This is an adult-only hotel with a gorgeous pool and in a great location. It’s next to Koza Cave Hotel, and Sultan Cave Hotel and within walking distance to the town. I loved having a pool during our stay, it allowed us to relax and enjoy our time at the pool instead of hanging around in our room. Aza Cave Hotel has two buildings, the main building and the other is just across the main building with Junior Suites. I stayed in the Suite Room, it’s super spacious and I loved this hotel. FYI – the water in the pool is super cold!
3. KOZA CAVE HOTEL
Koza Cave Hotel is a boutique hotel. It’s located next to Sultan Cave Hotel and has a beautiful rooftop. The rooftop is open to the public. The property has one of the most unique rooftops with a private hot tub. Guests are only able to use this when booking the Queens Room.
4. MUSEUM HOTEL
Museum Hotel is located in Uchisar, less than 10 minutes from Goreme by car. The property is a Relais & Chateau chain so you know it will be stunning. This is one of the more expensive hotels in Cappadocia.
I spent two nights at this property and had an amazing room with a bathtub overlooking the balloons. The property has many Instagrammable spots for photos, especially by the pool. The staff also provides quite a breakfast spread at an additional fee. Since the hotel is a little farther away from where the balloons take off the balloons are quite small but the view is still spectacular.
5. ROX CAPPADOCIA
Rox Cappadocia is located in Uchisar and has a stunning rooftop. The owner is super friendly and has done a great job decorating the rooftop to make it Instagrammable. He even told us Kendal Jenner has stayed here too!
6. LOCAL CAVE HOUSE
One of my favorite shoots was at the Local Cave House Hotel. This property has the best pool with an incredible backdrop of fairy chimneys. We did not stay at this hotel but messaged the property asking if we were able to visit and take photos. The owner was super friendly and even helped us take our photos. The water was super cold too.
7. TERRA CAVE
I stayed at Terra Cave Hotel for one night. It’s a super cute cave hotel located in Goreme next to Sultan Cave Suites. The rooftop is not as spectacular as the other hotels on the list but it’s a great option if you’re looking for a clean and centrally located hotel.
8. CAPPADOCIA CAVE SUITES
Cappadocia Cave Suites rooftop looks stunning. I would love to stay here when I’m back in Cappadocia.
9. OTTOMAN CAVE SUITES
Ottoman Cave Suites has a stunning setup on the rooftop. Just look at those carpets and pillows!
10. HARMAN CAVE HOTEL
Harman Cave Hotel has a great rooftop of views overlooking the beautiful landscape.
11. HERA CAVE SUITES
Hera Cave Suites has a beautiful rooftop and a hot tub with views to watch the hot air balloons.
12. DOORS OF CAPPADOCIA
Doors of Cappadocia is another hotel with a stunning rooftop and a pool!
There are so many options to choose from. They’re all great options, however, my top choice would be one of the properties connected with Sultan Cave Hotel as guests will get access to all of the sister properties.
Have you been to any of these or have others you recommend? I’d love to know of other great hotels to add to my list!

Cappadocia has probably one of the greatest amounts of cave hotels, Christine. I was recently there and I fell in love with the place, is truly mesmerizing isn’t it? š

Which hotel would you recommend most? For views, and for actual hotel facility? Unfortunately Sultan Cave Suites was completely booked.

Oh bummer! Sultan Caves is great for views and location. Museum Hotel is amazing but a little farther out so depends if you have a car or not. I haven’t personally stayed at Koza Cave Hotel but I hear it’s great and it’s right next to Sultan Caves.
