Everyone visits Bolivia for the famous Salar de Uyuni Salt Flats but there are so many more amazing places to visit in Bolivia! After a 6 day trip through Peru with Inertia Network, our awesome group trip started our next adventure exploring Bolivia for 4 days. Here’s a list of the 5 amazing places to visit in Bolivia!

1. Salar de Uyuni

If anyone is visiting Bolivia, it’s mainly for the Salar de Uyuni. The Salt Flats is the biggest tourist attraction and a bucket list item everyone needs to check off. Our tour guides were amazing and showed us many amazing places in Salar de Uyuni! I highly recommend booking your tour through La Torre Tours. They worked really hard to help us find areas with water for the reflection, however, it was super windy so it was difficult to capture but we still had an amazing time on the salt flats!

2. Laguna Colorada

The beautiful pink lakes of Bolivia! There were hundreds of flamingos and the lake was stunning to see with our very own eyes.

3. Train Graveyard

A railway system was built in the middle of the middle of the 19th century from Bolivia to Chile. It was never completed and has now turned into an old train cemetery. Most or all tour companies will make a stop here for some epic photos.

4. Rock Tree

A great place to stop, climb rocks and take epic photos.

5. Lake Titicaca

Lake Titicaca borders Peru and Bolivia. It’s a small traditional village with small islands where travelers love to visit this resort town. Take a boat trip from Copacabana to Isla del Sol to discover ancient Inca ruins around the island. We didn’t make it here but I’m sure I’ll be back and will visit Lake Titicaca.

6. La Paz

Explore the city by doing a food tour, explore the witches’ market, San Francisco Church, and ride a cable car.

7. Valle de la Luna

Series of towering spires and stalagmites that are made from clay and sandstone carpet. We did not make it here but it looks like it can be worth a visit!

I had an amazing trip to Bolivia but wish it was longer! If you have plans to visit Bolivia make sure to include Peru to your itinerary and check out my 6 Day Peru Itinerary to get some inspiration.

Hi, we mostly walked around the city and had a tour guide to show us around. We also had a tour guide for the Salt Flats and took a bus there. Hope that helps!

Great photos! That’s so cool you made it all the way to Uyuni. Bolivia can be a rough place to travel at times – at least it was for me.
