ULTIMATE BACHELORETTE DESTINATION: PUERTO VALLARTA

Puerto Vallarta

I was lucky enough to get invited to a bachelorette party in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in February. I was a little worried it would be a little cold but surprisingly the weather was amazing! The girls and I had so much fun swimming in the ocean, experiencing the culture and exploring all that Puerto Vallarta had to offer. Keep reading to find the reasons Puerto Vallarta is the ultimate bachelorette (or bachelor) destination!

1. Sunset Cruise

The girls and I took the bride to be on a sunset cruise around the islands of Puerto Vallarta. We were able to catch one of the most beautiful sunsets ever! The sky was on fire with bright orange and yellow skies with multiple sail boats surrounding us. It was a great experience however I did get sea sick! So don’t forget your motion sickness pills if you easily get sick on boats!

2. Day Tour to Marieta Islands & Hidden Beach

One of the funnest days was taking a day trip to Marieta Islands where you and the bachelor or bachelorette can enjoy snorkeling, kayaking, or swimming through a cave to find a hidden beach! The beach is tucked away in a cave at one of the islands so make sure you know how to swim! The opening of the cave once arriving to the beach makes it bucket list worthy and provides amazing photos!

3. Lunch at Ocean Grill (UPDATE – Ocean Grill is now closed)

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had! Ocean Grill is located 30 minutes from South Puerto Vallarta. The restaurant sits on a secluded island off a cliff and is only accessible by a water taxi. Upon arriving on boat there is a tanning chair in the middle of the ocean! I really wanted to jump off and lay out in the sun! After our lunch we took a small walk to the secluded beach to enjoy the rest of the day. This place is cash only and requires reservations.

4. Spend Time on the Beach

During February the weather was beautiful! It was in the 80s the entire time! Spending time on the beach is a must!

5. Eat Tacos

You can’t leave Mexico without having authentic street tacos!! We spent a few hours exploring downtown Puerto Vallarta and ate some of the best tacos around!

6. P-A-R-T-Y!!!

No bachelor or bachelorette party is complete without a night out and partying all night long!! Head over to Mandala and Strana for the best clubs around town!

7. It’s Affordable!!!

Puerto Vallarta is one of the most affordable destinations! What I really like is that the food is cheap, and tours are very cheap. Tip: never pay full price, ALWAYS negotiate whenever you can! Ladies, partying at night is also a bargain and sometimes free! The flights and hotels are fairly reasonably priced and you can find great deals through booking.com! If you do decide to book feel free to use my link as it’s an affiliate link. =)

Hi thanks so much for the blog it was so beautiful and inspiring! Do you recommend booking tours in advance for a group of 5 girls? Also do you remember which tour companies you went through for the sunset cruise as well as the Day Tour to Marieta Islands & Hidden Beach? I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi Cristina! A tour in advance for a group of 5 girls is best. We booked it through the hotel and I can’t remember the tour company. You don’t need much advance time but definitely check with your hotel to help book your tour. We used the same company for the sunset cruise and the day tour to Marieta Islands. Make sure to bargain because you can get it for much cheaper if you do!

All the picture are perfect for describing the culture nad thing to in Puerto Vallarta. The best destination for a bachelorette party and experiencing nightlife in the night light of the city couldn’t be better anywhere than this place.
