MY RYOKAN EXPERIENCE AT HAKONE GINYU

Hakone Ginyu

A Ryokan is a traditional Japanese inn which can be found throughout Japan. The best Ryokans will have onsens (hot springs). Ryokans features tatami-matted rooms, communal baths and serves traditional kaiseki meals. It is an opportunity for tourists to experience the traditional Japanese lifestyle and immerse themselves in the culture. I stayed at Hakone Ginyu which is a member of the Ryokan Collection, a collection of luxury ryokans throughout Japan and located 10 minutes away from the main station by taxi.

Hakone Ginyu

Hakone Ginyu is one of the most interesting and best experiences I’ve ever had. The hospitality here was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and catered to your every needs. They even offer free happy hour at the bar in the garden! We all love free alcohol!

If you’re looking for a ryokan experience, I recommend staying at Hakone Ginyu. I know  you will enjoy it as much as I did!

Hi Michelle – I booked it through their website. It can be a little confusing. The link is above in my post.. test this link here There is an option for “reservation”. I had to create a log in information under “new member”, reserve the room and then they emailed me to confirm. Hope that helps, let me know if you still have questions.

Hi Catalina! Hakone Ginyu was a little on the pricey side but I went during high season (sakura season). However, it was definitely worth it!
