HOW TO SEE 8 COUNTRIES IN 13 DAYS WITH ROYAL CARIBBEAN

Serenade of the Seas

I was recently invited on a press trip with Royal Caribbean to sail along the Baltic Seas with one of their stunning cruise ships, Serenade of the Seas. I’ve only been on one cruise in my life and I honestly did not fall in love with it. When I first read about this experience it intrigued me since I would be seeing 8 countries and 9 cities in 13 days! I decided to give cruising a second try. By the second day, I had already fallen in love with it!! I’ll be sharing with you a few highlights of the ship and rundown of our amazing trip visiting Denmark, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Finland, and Sweden.

SERENADE OF THE SEAS

The ship is huge!! With 5+ pools/whirlpools, 15+ bars/lounges/restaurants, and outdoor activities for adults and kids, the ship will have you busy for days! There are many great restaurants from Mexican, Italian, Japanese and of course, the awesome buffet so will never be hungry. One of my favorites is getting pampered at the spa!

My ultimate favorite reason why I love cruising is the ease of traveling! I never had to pack and unpack and every morning when I woke up I was in a new location. We only had one full day at sea which was a great time to rest and enjoy the ship. Our first location was Copenhagen, Denmark. This is where the ship sets sail. We flew in a day early to explore Copenhagen.

1. COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

What to do: Explore Nyhavn, Tivoli Gardens, Rosenborg Castle and Rundetaarn (17th-century tower with an observatory deck)

7. HELSINKI, FINLAND

What to do: Winter World to visit igloos, ice bar, and dog sledding. Have lunch on a local farm and explore the Senate Square

8. STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

We disembark Serenade of the Seas in Stockholm early morning. This allows you to explore the city if you have a late flight or plan on spending the night at Nobis Hotel and fly out a day later.

What to do: Gamla Stan, Vasa Museum, Stockholm Palace and eat Sweedish meatballs

Stockholm

That’s how you see 8 countries and 9 cities in 13 days! Amazing isn’t it? I’ve now visited a total of 29 countries and have fallen in love in cruising! It’s one of the most efficient ways to travel and see multiple cities in a short period of time. Thank you, Royal Caribbean for giving me one of the most memorable experiences of my life!

What are your favorite cruises? I would love some ideas for my next cruise!

Awesome! Ive been on Caribbean cruises, but never a European one. I think I should do it! The thing I like best about cruises is that you get the “resort experience” (food available 24 hours a day, activities and amenities included while travelling to tons of new places.

Try Barefoot Cruises in the Mediterranean. AWESOME! It’s been a while but they are still doing it! 🙂
