PURSUING MY PASSION TO TRAVEL

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Delta Air Lines through their partnership with POPSUGAR. While I was compensated by POPSUGAR to write a post about Delta Air Lines, all opinions are my own.

If someone told me I could travel the world as my career a year ago, I would have never believed it. I started my travel blog as a place to document my travels solely for my friends and family, and it quickly turned into an online resource for travelers. I have been traveling with my family since I was 5 years old. Every Spring and Summer break, we would jet off to new cities and beaches where I developed my addiction to travel.

Horseshoe Bend

I started my blog on April 6, 2015, and exactly one year later, I left my corporate 9-5 job to travel the world! It was never my intention, but I slowly realized how much travel has become a big part of my life in so many ways. I love learning about new cultures, trying new food, meeting people around the world, and most importantly, becoming a photographer. Photography is a hobby I picked up throughout my travels and I’ve fallen in love with creating beautiful content. Photography and travel have opened new opportunities and created a career I never dreamed of! I’ve been able to work with brands that I value, and thanks to my friends at Delta Air Lines, I recently had an amazing experience photographing Zion National Park, Horseshoe Bend, and Antelope Canyon.

Delta Terminal

I flew with Delta from San Francisco to Las Vegas. I always enjoy Delta’s terminal since they have plenty of plugs for anyone like me who is looking to work on their laptop before boarding. The terminal is always clean and has great food options! It was my first time sitting in Delta’s Comfort+ seats, and they were truly worth it! The seats have up to three more inches of legroom on domestic flights and up to four more inches on international flights. With Delta Comfort+, I had SkyPriority boarding, which allowed me to settle into my seat more quickly.

During my flight I could not stop staring out the window. I loved watching the clouds go by; window seats are the best, aren’t they?

ZION NATIONAL PARK

I invited two girlfriends to join me on my weekend adventure! As someone who loves photography and is always striving to improve, I wanted to focus on landscape photography during my trip. Our first stop was Zion National Park in Utah where we hiked the Emerald Pools trail. Zion has steep red cliffs with beautiful scenery. I just wish we had more time to see it all!

HORSESHOE BEND

Our second stop was a place I’ve wanted to visit for years! After seeing beautiful photos online, I knew I had to visit Horseshoe Bend in Page, Arizona. Horseshoe Bend offers breathtaking views of the horseshoe-shaped incised meander of the Colorado River. It is 10 minutes from the town of Page and a 15-minute walk from the parking lot. Sitting on the edge of the cliff looking down can be quite scary, but pushing myself to get out of my comfort zone teaches me to let go of my fears.

LOWER ANTELOPE CANYON

The last stop on our adventure was Antelope Canyon, located 10 minutes from Horseshoe Bend and 15 minutes from the city. Antelope Canyon provides tours to upper and lower canyon. I visited both many years ago, but it’s great to revisit and capture the beauty of the canyons. I suggest purchasing online tickets before you go since they get very crowded.

Now that I’ve left my corporate job to focus full time on my travel blog, every experience continues to teach me something about myself and how I can build a business that will inspire others to do the same. Always stay open-minded and know that you can always be better. I could have never have imagined becoming an entrepreneur and building a brand for myself, but I did it! I cannot wait to see where this new chapter in my life takes me. If you’re someone who is looking for advancement in your career or you know you want to be an entrepreneur, you can DO IT!! All it takes is passion, drive, hard work, and a little risk, but it will be worth it. Thank you Delta Air Lines for playing a part in my future success in pursuing my passion to travel the world.
