The Room

We stayed in the Fairmont Room, located in the main building. When we entered the room, I couldn’t help but notice how elegant and spacious the room was! The room had a large closet space and an extra room with a couch and desk. Our room faced the courtyard which brought in lots of natural light during the day.

All rooms come with a complimentary wine bottle and plush terry bathrobes. After exploring our room we decided to explore the property, once we were back in our room we were greeted with complimentary champagne! The staff really knows how to spoil us!

Willow Stream Spa

Travel + Leisure has ranked The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa as the top 25 spas. The location is unique and boasts an enviable location atop an ancient thermal mineral spring! Doesn’t that just sound amazing? No better way to enjoy your time but to soak in the mineral baths.

For hotel guests the daily fee per person is $39. When checking into the spa, the friendly staff provided us a quick tour of the spa facilities which included full amenities in the locker room, two outdoor heated pools, an indoor heated pool, relaxation room, sauna, steam room and complimentary refreshments. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuits like we did!! But don’t worry the spa has a Spa Boutique where I purchased my new favorite swimsuit!

Ryan and I decided to relax in the outdoor pools first. This was my first time in a heated pool and it felt amazing! It’s truly one of the best ways to relax and enjoy a few hours together. We also spent time in the Jacuzzi and indoor bath. The spa offers only the best spa services to fit your needs, from body scrubs, facials and massages. Take a look at the spa services to see which treatment is best for you!

Dining

Sante Restaurant: One of the best restaurants in San Francisco Bay! A Michelin star restaurant and an AAA Four Diamond Award. Ryan and I dined here for dinner and highly recommend the duck breast or filet mignon as an entree. There’s also a chef’s tasting menu for $149.

38 North: A lounge located at the hotel lobby. The lounge offers a great selection of wine and food

The Water Tower: Full service bar at the resorts main pool

Sonoma Golf Club Grill: Located at the Sonoma Golf Clubhouse, the restaurant offers great food with a view of the golf course!

In-Room Dining: One of my favorites was having room service for breakfast!! I loved the waffles and french toast!

Other Activities

I had such an amazing time during my stay at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa! A weekend getaway from San Francisco turned into one of the most relaxing weekends!

I must admit that this is the best post I could read first hour in the morning. That photo of you having breakfast in bed remembers me that I have to eat, too. I also like very much heated pools. If you ever go to Hungary, their spa tourism is very well developed and you should try it.

The Fairmont looks like a great place to stay. I can see it combines vintage and classic elements with the best of modern convenience. The food too looks great. You must have had a really great time during your stay there.

All of the Fairmont properties and so unique and amazing. I love this one in particular because it has that pretty in pink feel, similar to the Royal Hawaiian Pink Palace in Waikiki. And that cheese platter, yum!

Those pools look heavenly! I love the Fairmont hotels and know how luxurious the facilities are firsthand, you have done an excellent job to showcase this property. I am so glad they have a mineral pool, they are the best!! I would definitely book a few treatments in that spa.

This place is so beautiful! I am planning a wine tasting trip in the somewhat distant future, but I will keep this in mind. The pools and fountains, and the food. That breakfast in bed looked amazing!!

Wow right from the beginning, I loved the pink facade of the building. This reminds me of a castle I stayed in the south of Netherlands that had similarly amenities. It looks like a wonderful place, especially they give you robes and champagne!

Love this. Fairmont is one of my favorite hotel brands – I haven’t been to this property yet but it is on the list. Glad you had an amazing time. Did you end up finding a swim suit?
