Since living in San Francisco, I have always wanted to visit Tahoe during the winter and/or summer. Only 3 hours away it makes a good weekend trip or even a day trip. I was lucky enough to get invited last weekend on a day trip to Sierra at Tahoe for some winter activities with Skedaddle!

Skedaddle is a ride sharing app that I recently learned about. The ride sharing service is really easy to use, affordable and hassle free! Skedaddle created a public route to Sierra at Tahoe, a ride to the destination and back on a luxury bus. All riders also received free lift tickets to Sierra at Tahoe!! What a great deal!

Once I selected my route it provided me with my details on pick up and drop off locations and times. Once the ride has 9 other passengers, the ride is guaranteed and you will receive a notification that the ride is now live. We had over 30 riders on our bus! Once logged into the app you’re able to see available routes that others have created. If you see a ride you’re interested in, click on reserve to reserve your seat! You will not get charged until 48 hours prior to departure. You can even create a private route for you and your friends!

Once I arrived at the pick up location we hopped on the black luxury bus and was greeted by the driver. Once all riders were checked in, off we went! When we arrived to Sierra at Tahoe our driver made sure we connected with the appropriate people for our free lift tickets and made sure we knew where we would get picked up at.

SIERRA AT TAHOE

Most of the riders had their own skiing or snowboarding gear. Ryan and I went straight to the rentals and got our gear. It was super quick and painless. Once we were geared up, we were ready for our adventure on the slopes!

Sierra at Tahoe has 14 lifts and 46 trails. We definitely did not experience all of the trails but the ones we went on were awesome. We had over 5 hours to enjoy ourselves and it was more then enough! It was such a gorgeous day, perfect weather and the snow was amazing!! I haven’t snowboarded in over 5 years and was afraid I wouldn’t be able to do well but surprisingly I had so much fun and did great!

Skeedaddle seems like such a convenient and comfortable way to get to Tahoe. And you can’t beat free lift tickets. It’s been years since I have been there, but your pictures are gorgeous! I want to hop on that bus and go right now.

Wow, that’s such a cool concept for an app! We will have to try it out when we go back to California next month since we don’t have a car anymore. That’s such a great way to save money and get where you need to go. I’ve always wanted to go to Tahoe too!

Oh my word, Tahoe looks like a winter wonderland! I’m currently trying to figure out getting to Savannah from Atlanta in a few weeks, so definitely checking Skedaddle out.
