Tulum is one of the cutest beach towns in Quintana Roo. It’s two hours from Cancun and has the most beautiful turquoise waters I’ve ever seen! I first learned about Tulum a few years ago when Aimee Song from Song of Style visited for her birthday. She had the cutest photos of herself laying hammocks at Rosa del Viento, the cutest beach front hotel in Tulum!

I few years later, I am visiting the same exact spot! I decided to spend my New Years in Tulum to end 2016 and celebrate 2017 with a bang! I was able to book one of their last rooms for this time and couldn’t be more excited. When we arrived we were welcomed with a cocktail drink at the restaurant!

The Property

The hotel has 26 self sustaining air conditioned rooms with king size beds hammocks all over the property! Rosa del Viento was built with minimum environmental impact making use of available resources from the surroundings, allowing you to feel like your in a secluded island or jungle. Rosa del Viento is the last hotel along the main road in Tulum so you will definitely be away from the crowds!

With a great restaurant, hammocks everywhere, beach club and white sand beaches, Rosa del Viento has everything you could possibly want for a beach vacation. They even offer spa services right on the beach! Even thought I visited during New Years, this property was not crowded at all. It was great to find cabanas available on the beach and I truly felt like my boyfriend and I were one of the only ones on the beach! What I loved is that the beach goes on for miles! You can either go right and see private properties or go left and explore other hotel beaches.

The Room

The rooms have a unique intimate style that makes you feel like you’re somewhere tropical. All rooms has it’s own private terrace with wooden tables and chairs. I highly suggest booking a room with a beach front view because nothing beats waking up to that ocean view. There were no TVs in the room but who needs that anyway when you have the ocean a few feet away! All rooms have complimentary WiFi and daily cleaning services.

The Restaurant

The rooms come with complimentary breakfast! We made sure to use that everyday because they had amazing french toast! The restaurant is located on the second floor and has views of the ocean. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and also serves the beach club. We had lunch here once and had awesome fish tacos and ceviche! We did not get to try dinner at the restaurant during our stay but I’m sure it’s amazing!

The Beach

The beach club at Rosa del Viento is absolutely beautiful. The turqouise water is so surreal and the water is one of the warmest I’ve been in! I absolutely loved their beach cabanas where the restaurant staff caters to our needs with food and drinks throughout the day. The beach was not very crowded which I loved and you are able to walk along the beach for miles! We even walked to Raw Love at the Ahau Hotel.

If you’re looking of some relaxation and quiet time, I highly suggest booking a room at Rosa del Viento. You will never want to leave! I sure didn’t and I cannot wait to return and stay at one of the beach front cabanas.
