The Maldives has been on the top of my bucket list for a while and I’ve always dreamed of visiting for my honeymoon. Lucky for me, I did not need to wait for my honeymoon to visit. I was recently invited to The Maldives to experience two of Coco Collection properties: Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu & Coco Bodu Hithi. Both are amazing properties where you will find yourself on a secluded island paradise. I spent a total of 6 nights in the Maldives on both properties which are the perfect amount of time while also experiencing two different resorts/islands.

The Maldives is located in the Indian Ocean composed of a chain of 26 ring atolls, which are made up of more than hundreds of islands. Where each resort is on its very own island! So picking a resort is important since you’ll be spending all your time there. What I truly love about the properties is that they both practice environmental and social sustainability. The staff is amazing and the water is probably the clearest and warmest waters I’ve been in!

COCO PALM DHUNI KOLHU

Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu is located in Baa Atoll and is a UNESCO biosphere reserve. It’s known as one of the world’s best places for diving and snorkeling. This property is beautiful and perfect for anyone looking for an affordable experience.

HOW TO GET TO COCO PALM DHUNI KOLHU

Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu is located 30 minutes by seaplane from Male. Once Ryan and I landed in Male we were greeted by the staff and escorted to the lounge for drinks and snacks. The staff helped arrange our seaplane transfers and took care of our luggage.

THE LAGOON VILLA

Once we arrived on the island we were greeted by multiple staff to help us with our luggage and escorted us to our villa. The resort has Beach/Sunset/Ocean Villas, Deluxe Villas, and Lagoon Villas. Ryan and I stayed in the Lagoon Villa for two nights and loved the experience! Each of the Lagoon Villas has its own pool and outdoor seating.

COCO BODU HITHI

Coco Bodu Hithi is a true island paradise! This resort is perfect for families, couples and honeymooners looking for an ultimate luxury experience.

HOW TO GET TO COCO BODU HITHI

Coco Bodu Hithi is located 40 minutes by boat from Male. Since there are no seaplane transfers directly from Coco Palm we took a seaplane to Male and then a boat ride to Coco Bodu Hithi. The process is very easy and the staff made sure to take us through every process seamlessly.

From the moment we arrived, I already felt like I was on a private island! The island is quite large and will require carts to get around especially if guests are staying at the Residences.

COCO RESIDENCE

The Coco Residence is located at the tip of the island. Guests staying here will have their own lobby for any questions or needs throughout their stay. The villa is quite spacious with its own living room, king size bed, bathroom with a double bath, large indoor bathtub and an indoor and outdoor shower. My favorite part of the villa is the outside terrace with its own infinity pool and steps from the Indian Ocean. The villa is perfect for couples and provides a romantic getaway.

At Coco Bodu Hithi, the property has teamed up with Sunnylife to create a fun experience with the world’s first pool floats menu with selections such as the pineapple rings, unicorns and lie on lobsters. Guests are able to choose from the plentiful selection of colorful floats and enjoy them in their private villas or on the beach. It sure makes for the Insta epic moments and of course I picked my favorite fruit, the pineapple as my float for the week. I pretty much never let it go and spent hours relaxing by our villa.

OTHER VILLAS

The resort also has other amazing villas including the Island Villa, Water Villa, and Escape Water Villa. They offer a variety of relaxation and luxury. I had the opportunity to tour these villas and they are all beautiful!

I had an incredible week with Coco Collection and I cannot wait to be back in paradise soon!! The Maldives is beautiful with so natural beauty and I would love to go back and learn how to dive to experience the sea! I highly recommend both properties if you’re looking for an incredibly luxurious island paradise.
