BEST ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES IN CANCUN

I recently spent some time in Mexico, specifically Cancun and Tulum. Before my visit I knew I wanted to do lots of adventure activities and began my research. I came across Cancun Riviera Maya Tours which is a tour provider and travel agency that only partners with the best tour companies throughout Cancun and the Riviera Maya. I emailed the company and they were very quick in answering all my questions. I also chose them since they provided private shuttles and has over a dozen of awesome tours; parasailing, snorkeling, swim with dolphins, scuba diving, boat tours, ruin tours and so much more!

Depending on each tour they have morning or afternoon tours. I opted for the morning snorkeling tour and parasailing which can be done at the same spot. Four our day tour, Cancun Riviera Maya Tours partnered with Total Snorkel Cancun.

Reef Turtle Encounter & Shipwreck Snorkel Tour

The day started early with a pick up from our hotel at 8:15am. Our driver arrived on time and the snorkeling area was roughly 20 minutes away. In some cases, the driver may need to pick up other customers on the way. Once we arrived, we were greeted by our tour guides. They prepped us with our life jacket and snorkeling gear. The tour is for all ages even for someone who does not really know how to swim, like my boyfriend. =)

We jumped into the boat and once we arrived at our first snorkeling area we jumped right into the clear turquoise water! The water was perfect temperature! We snorkeled around and saw lots of beautiful reefs, fishes and some Mayan history under the sea!

We jumped back into the boat and went to our second snorkeling spot. This area was mostly in search for turtles! Luckily we found one but it kept swimming away from me. One of our tour guides was able to get a shot with the turtle!

The last and third snorkeling spot was the shipwreck. It was really cool to see an old ship in the middle of the ocean and apparently the history of the shipwreck is due to a hurricane.

Parasailing

I had plans to go parasailing after our snorkeling tour but since the weather was not the best it was cancelled. I was a bit bummed since I have never gone parasailing before. It really looks fun and I definitely would like to do it next time!

Private Transfers

The company offers private and shared shuttle transfers from Cancun Airport to your hotel. We were able to get a private shuttle from Cancun to Tulum and Tulum to Cancun Airport. Our drivers were always on time and I highly recommend reserving your private shuttles especially if traveling in large groups.

I had such a great time with Cancun Riviera Maya Tours! One of our guides recorded and took photos of us throughout the entire time. The snorkeling tour was a total of an hour and a half and they even provided each group a printed photo. The entire process was efficient and all of our tour guides were knowledgable and fun! They made sure we enjoyed out tour! Take a look at their services and book your next adventure with Cancun Riviera Maya Tours!

I would love to go to Cancun! I have only been to Cozumel and I feel like it didn’t count because we were only there for a few hours on a cruise ship stop like 15 years ago! The water looks so blue, I would totally want to snorkel all over the place!

A wonderful experience to see a turtle in the wild. Mexico is on my wish list and Cancun seems a good place to visit with all those water activities.

Oh snorkelling with turtles looks like so much fun. I’ve always thought there was more to Cancun then drinking and getting sunburnt. Added this to the list of things to do on my next adventures

As much as I’ve dived, I still haven’t had a chance to swim with turtles! I’ll definitely have to book a tour with these guys the next time I’m in Cancun. You pictures look so pretty and it looks like you and Ryan had a blast! 🙂

Snorkelling with the turtles would be amazing. The waters look very clear and very safe for the whole family here. Our daughters would love this, i would love to do this.

The same thing happened to me with the parasailing in Cancun – they cancelled last minute because of the weather, not enough wind or something. I didn’t actually get around to doing much water-based activities as I’d done a lot in Belize the week before I arrived, but if I’d known about the shipwreck I definitely would have signed up! Looks super cool!

I wish I would’ve ventured out of the resort for more than partying while in Cancun. This looks like an amazing experience!

Great recap of your tour there! My husband and I spent our anniversary in Cancun and Tulum so opted to dive in Tulum instead of doing the Shipwreck Tour but now seeing your photos I wish we had tried to fit it in! Sounds like you guys had a blast.

Can’t go wrong with boat cruises and snorkeling! I’ve been dying to parasail for the longest time but now they don’t do it as much here in Barbados! Your pictures are beautiful, looks like you had an amazing time

Great underwater photos! I’ve been to Merida, so I’ve toured the Yucatan, but I’d like to go to Cancun as well someday. And this tour looks like fun because I’d love to see turtles and a shipwreck up close like that. Glad you enjoyed your tour!

Wow, these are some impressive underwater photos. This is something I also want to try out soon. How is your experience with this – big difference to “normal” photography?

Water photography is so much harder! I seem to get a lot of blurry photos but I just take a lot and hope there are some decent ones =) Always helps when the water is clear.

I have heard so much about Cancun and can’t wait to visit! Knowing there is a great company to go on adventurous tour with is really reassuring. I love your underwater photos! Are you using a go pro? The statues underwater look awesome and how cool you got to swim with turtles. I have done parasailing in Greece and it was awesome for the first 5 minutes and then got a bit boring lol. Definitely worth trying out though!

What an amazing time in Cancun! When I was there, it was too windy and it rained later in the day so we weren’t able to go on our scheduled snorkeling day. Looks like I need to go back! Since haven’t seen a shipwreck.
