8 REASONS TO INSPIRE YOU TO VISIT JAVEA SPAIN

I have to admit, I had no idea where Javea, Spain was! I’m so glad I joined the Digital Nomad Girls Retreat in Javea! I met so many inspiring girls and we had a great time! Javea is a small coastal town south of Valencia roughly 1.5 hours by car. There is plenty of things to do in the small town and has one of the most beautiful beaches in Spain!

I visited Javea during September and knew the weather would be in the 80’s. I packed all my necessities which included swimwear, sunglasses, a hat, dresses and of course Dramamine. No matter the destination I always make sure I have Dramamine naturals with me! The all natural ginger helps protect me from any motion sickness during my travels. If you’ve read my Puerto Vallarta post you may know I had motion sickness during a sunset cruise. It ruined the day for me and I never want that to happen again! I’d rather be safe than sorry from now on especially during this trip since I knew I would be kayaking. Of course it all turned out well since I had it with me. =)

Once I arrived to Javea, I knew I was going to love it! The town is full of character with cute alleyways, doorways, flowers and decoration throughout the town. Here are 8 reasons that will inspire you to visit Javea, Spain.

1. Playa La Granadella Beach

Playa La Granadella is probably the best beach in Javea. Secluded with less crowds and beautiful turquoise water. People come here for kayaking and snorkeling. Cool fact: this beach was filmed in the movie ‘The Cold Light of Day’ starring Henry Cavill, Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver.

2. El Arenal Beach

This is the main beach in Javea. Beautiful long sandy beach with a promenade full of restaurants and shops.

3. Kayak to caves

I highly suggest doing a kayaking day tour to the caves with Siesta Advisor. We kayaked to a small beach and stopped in one of the larger caves to swim and snorkel. Total tour time is 3 hours and don’t forget to take Dramamine if you tend to get motion sickness!

4. Old Town Javea

The old town of Javea is very cute! There are so many alleyways with decorations and flowers throughout the town. I couldn’t help myself but get lost and find opportunities for a photo.

5. Sunset or Moonrise?

Do not miss spending a day watching the sunset or in my case the moon rise!! I hope you’re as lucky as I was!

6. La Siesta

La Siesta is so cute!!! I highly suggest coming here for any occasion: lunch, dinner, drinks or in my case watch the sunset/moonrise. This is a restaurant that serves great food and AMAZING cocktails!! They even have a cabana area to lay out and relax. Behind the restaurant is a gorgeous beach so feel free to bring your swimwear. There’s also free WIFI.

7. Ice Cream on the Beach!

Can’t go wrong with tasty ice cream on the beach in Europe especially in Spain! They have amazing ice cream and so many unique flavors in every ice cream shop.

8. The Food!

I do love Spanish food! One of my favorite restaurants in Javea is Volta Volta in old town Javea. The menu changes daily, it’s a 4 course menu for 12 euros!! Can you believe I got all this for 12 euros?! The food was amazing and the decor is really cute! I highly recommend having a meal here.
