There is an endless amount of ice cream shops in New York and it totally deserves its own blog post. I typically enjoy frozen yogurt but since living in New York I have found myself enjoying ice cream more due to the amazing options throughout the city. Read along because you will not want to miss out on these best ice creams in New York!

1. ICE & VICE

Ice & Vice has unique flavors that change often. A few of their unique flavors are Vietnamese coffee,  doughnut truffle, and Mexican vanilla. More recently they have been getting a lot of Instagram exposure with their marshmallows being added to any ice cream!

2. NEW TERRITORIES & EGGLOO

New Territories has the most Instagrammable milkshakes and bubble waffle ice creams!

Eggloo is also another ice cream shop with bubble waffle ice cream and they offer free toppings!

3. MILK BAR & CREAM CEREAL BAR

I love Milk & Cream Cereal Bar! It’s a really fun concept, the way it works is you pick a flavor (vanilla or chocolate), cereal which gets mixed into the ice cream, then add toppings and sauce!

4. MOMOFUKU MILK BAR

Momofuku Milk Bar has multiple locations throughout New York. They’re known for their famous cereal milk ice cream!! It’s the best soft serve ever and I love the frosted flakes topping!

5. ROLLED ICE CREAM

For Thai rolled ice cream: I CE NY or 10below is the best. They make the ice cream in front of you and roll it up into a cup.

Visit Dominique Ansel Kitchen for fun summer ice creams and Dominique Ansel Bakery for the famous smores ice cream!

7. SUNDAES & CONES

Sundaes & Cones offer unique Asian flavors such as taro, sesame, Thai tea and they’re all so delicious!

8. ODDFELLOWS ICE CREAM

I prefer the Oddfellows in Williamsburg location as it has special flavors and does collaborations with restaurants! The cotton candy wrapped around my ice cream was a unique take on an ice cream cone!

9. EMACK & BOLIO’S

Emack & Bolio’s has fun cones! Fruit loops, Oreos, fruity pebbles and so many more!

10. MACARON PARLOUR

The best macaron ice cream is from Macaron Parlour! I love the carebear stare!! They also tend to be available around the city during the summer and holiday markets with Urbanspace

11. POPBAR

Popbar has options for flavored gelato popsicles. You then have an option to dip it in chocolate and your choice of toppings!

12. EIGHT TURN CREPE

If you love crepes, Eight Turn Crepe is amazing! I especially love the lychee matcha ice cream crepe.

13. TAIYAKI NYC

Taiyaki is known for the fun fish pancake filled with delicious ice cream filled with red bean and topping of your choice!

14. BAR PA TEA

I absolutely love Bar Pa Tea! They have the most amazing soft serve and boba! They only have two flavors: Oolong and Black Tea but I recommend getting the swirl for both flavors!

15. BIG GAY ICE CREAM

Big Gay Ice Cream is a longtime local favorite for all New Yorkers. Can’t go wrong with anything here, usually a line but it will go by fast. The “Salty Pimp” is a personal favorite of mine.

16. VAN LEEWEN

Van Leewen has multiple locations and they’re known for it’s classic and vegan ice creams is one of NYC’s favorite ice cream shops. They make their ice cream from scratch!

17. AMORINO

Amorino is an authentic Italian shop that scoops your ice cream into a flower shape and super pretty!

18. MORGENSTERN’S FINEST ICE CREAM

Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream is located in the Lower East Side, it’s a retro parlor look, innovative items like the avocado ice cream toast, an open-faced ice cream sandwich, and, of course, the aptly-named King Kong Sundae.

19. SNOWDAYS

Snowdays are in the East Village and offer shaved snow ice cream. If you have not tried shaved snow this is a must! It’s an ice cream/shaved ice hybrid.

20. MOCHIDOKI

If you love mochi ice cream, Mochidoki is the place to go!

    These are all delicious! I have a soft spot for Big Gay Ice Cream because I’ve been going there since it was a truck. I also like Cones which has South American ice cream flavors.

    I honestly had no idea people could be so creative with ice cream. I’m intrigued by the Thai rolled ice cream, so that would be my first stop. Then on to #13 for the ice cream crepes! Yum! Your photos are stellar. 😉
